What Will I Need For My First Lesson?
So you’ve just booked a lesson for your student or you are thinking about booking some time for yourself and stepping up your woodwind game. The following items are required by Miss Tiemeyer. Without all the right equipment, the student will be starting at a disadvantage, and won’t get very far in the lesson or in the band class. Please follow the links on the Welcome page to go to the music stores to purchase these items. Starter kits can be bought when the parent rents the instrument. These are fine for clarinet and flute. Oboe, saxophone, and bassoon students will purchase their supplies through Miss Tiemeyer. She must be reimbursed at the first lesson.
Miss Tiemeyer also has access to many other online music stores parents may wish to visit for both instruments and equipment.

Minimum three working reeds (students must buy reeds from Miss Tiemeyer $15.00 each)
Reed case that holds three or six reeds
Silk, pull-through swab
Small, water-tight container to soak reeds
Unused water color paintbrush or make-up brush to dust under keys
